Built in 2004, the Kaz Standards are the mainstay of Lakaz Chamarel.

Combining rustic charm and refined elegance, they feature local artwork and Asian furnishings.
With warm interiors, a shared pool, and close proximity to the restaurant and bar, these intimate retreats offer a peaceful escape amidst lush nature.

Rooms: 3 double “Lakaz” rooms of 50 m² spaced apart from each other.

Feraye, Dibois and Bambou open onto the swimming pool which is close to the main house, terrace and open-air bathroom.

Lakaz Feraye means iron in Creole.

We wanted to give this room a touch of our oriental influence with its wrought iron furniture which was made by a small Mauritian craftsman; in the bathroom an olive tree: the cultivation of the olive tree would have begun more than 4,000 years BC; it is the symbol of longevity and hope, peace and reconciliation, strength and wisdom.

 

Lakaz Dibois means wood in Creole

Her carved wooden furniture was imported from India, and the paintings are works by our Mauritian artist friends! In her bathroom, a frangipani tree symbolizes divinity. In India, as in Mauritius, its flower, a symbol of freshness, femininity, and seduction, is used to make necklaces for ceremonies.

 

Lakaz Bamboo

An Asian touch in the middle of this tropical garden, with dwarf bamboo in the bathroom! The symbolism attributed to bamboo is related to friendship and the bringer of joy. In Feng Shui, it is a symbol of youth! It also represents robustness and flexibility, because bamboo bends but does not break.
